KINDERGARTEN AND 1ST GRADE AGE REQUIREMENT In order to enroll in kindergarten, students must be 5 years of age on or before August 1 of the school year. Similarly, a student must be 6 years of age on or before August 1 of the school year to enroll in first grade.
